Biblicast for Meta Muse

Ask Muse for today's verse, play your episodes, or make a new one — from WhatsApp, Messenger, or the Muse app.

The simple way

Give this message to Muse

Tap the card to copy the message, then paste it to Muse — in WhatsApp, Messenger, or the Muse app. Muse sets up the connection itself and asks you for your Biblicast code in its own secure prompt.

Then, in Muse:

  1. Paste the message and send it. Muse adds Biblicast as a connection.
  2. When Muse asks for your Biblicast code, open the Biblicast app: Settings → Connected apps → Meta Muse → Create connection code → Copy code. Paste it into Muse's secure prompt — never into the chat itself.
  3. Ask: “What's today's verse?”

Hi Muse — please connect me to Biblicast.

Biblicast is a daily Bible-verse podcast app. Add it as a custom integration named “Biblicast” using its MCP server:
https://mcp.biblicast.ai/mcp
(Model Context Protocol over streamable HTTP: JSON-RPC 2.0 over HTTPS POST, stateless, no session.)

Without a credential it offers three tools: today's verse, a free three-minute daily episode, and a description of the app. With my Biblicast connection code as the bearer token it can also read my library, play an episode by name, show what's on my Today, and make a new episode in a style I choose.

I'll create the connection code in the Biblicast app (Settings → Connected apps → Meta Muse → Create connection code). When you need it, ask me through your secure credential prompt — never ask me to type it into the chat. Treat it like a password.

Once it's connected, tell me today's verse.

Your connection code is never part of this message. Muse asks for it separately, and you can replace or revoke it any time in Settings → Connected apps.

What Muse can do with Biblicast

Without connecting anything, anyone on Muse can ask for today's verse, listen to the free daily episode — a three-minute reflection on the verse of the day — and learn what Biblicast is.

With your Biblicast account connected, Muse can also read the titles in your library, play any episode by name, tell you what is on Today, and make a new episode for you in the style you choose. A new episode made through Muse counts the same as one made in the app: one a day.

Muse shows text and links. Audio plays on your device, the same as in the app.

How to connect by hand

  1. In Biblicast: Settings → Connected apps → Meta Muse → Create connection code. The code is shown once — tap Copy code.
  2. In Muse: add Biblicast from Muse's connectors, or give Muse our server address, https://mcp.biblicast.ai/mcp. When Muse asks for your Biblicast code, paste it into Muse's secure prompt — never into the chat itself.
  3. Ask. "What's today's verse?" · "Play my latest episode." · "Make today's episode in the Deep Study style."

Treat the code like a password: anyone who has it can read your library. To replace it, open Settings → Connected apps → Meta Muse → Create a new code — the old code stops working at once. Disconnect Muse ends the connection entirely; you can also remove Biblicast in Muse.

Connected apps arrives with Biblicast 1.3. Biblicast is free to download on the App Store.

What Muse can see

Connecting lets Muse see the titles in your library and open your episodes. Biblicast never shares your account, billing, or invite codes with Muse.

The free daily episode and today's verse are the same for everyone and tell Muse nothing about you. With a connection, Muse receives only what it asks for on your behalf: your library's titles and links, what is on Today, and the episodes you ask it to make. Muse's own handling of what it sees is described by Meta. Our Privacy Policy covers the rest.

For developers and reviewers

Biblicast exposes one Model Context Protocol server over the streamable HTTP transport: JSON-RPC 2.0 over HTTPS POST, stateless, no session required.

Endpoint https://mcp.biblicast.ai/mcp

Authentication None for the three public tools. The five account tools take Authorization: Bearer <connection code>. Codes begin with bcn_, are created in the app, shown once, one active per account; creating a new code revokes the old one. Any code presented is checked: an invalid or revoked code is answered 401 with a WWW-Authenticate challenge. An account tool called without a code returns a tool error asking the user to connect Biblicast in Settings.

job_statusyesThe job's state and, when ready, the episode.jobId

Behaviour Tools return the same shapes as the app's own API. generate_episode is subject to the same daily limit and the same refusals as the app — a refusal comes back as a tool error with a plain sentence, never as a silent success. The free episode is shared, refreshed daily, and history-free by construction. Audio is served from our CDN; links open in a browser or in the app. Requests beyond fair use are answered 429 with Retry-After.

Data Codes are stored only as a hash and never logged; each request is logged with the tool name, a fingerprint of the code and the time, and kept up to 90 days like our other technical logs. Nothing about account settings, billing, or invitations is reachable through a code. Disconnecting deletes the code at once; nothing else about the connection is kept.
